Default Quick Question - Not sure if anyone knows.

In GW2 , will the system of professions still be the same? Like will you still choose between the 10 we have now , I personnaly hope so and im also hoping that they dont just bash thousands of skills into the game with no limits to have many you can take . Keep it simple but keep it fun!

Again:

In GW2 , will the system of professions still be the same?

Dont quote me on this, but I **think** that I read somewhere that GW2 will revert back to the original professions ( warrior, ranger, elementalist, mesmer, necromancer, monk )

I'm hoping its the same system, with those 6 classes... Those were the good old days

Indeed, I'm sure I've read that too, from one of the interviews.

For the record, I don't remember reading that.

If you could post a link or source, that would be great!

If not, file this under conjecture.

I hope its the 10 we have now.

Warriors are pretty much useless outside of prophecies anyways...and Rits rule.

They said there would be less, didn't they? Some of them are likely to be combined.

I hopes its like in RO2, there are no "professions".

You can go from thief to swordsman to mage just by resetting attributes. Of course this means youll need to swap armor, but hey.

I dont think that would work , I like having my characters for a main purpose , I wouldnt just want one .

I also think that GW2 shouldnt be a different program , so like you load the GW launcher and you can go into a account center and have good accses to both .

Well resetting is costly, and you need armor/weapons for the profession.

interesting idea of a "main" guild wars launcher, but if they truly change the graphics engine, i dont think that would work.

Well it dosn't really say, all it says is Human's. Which could mean alot from the looks of it, just gotta wait a bit and well find out. But of course we will have the 4 new ones which are the Sylvari,Asura,Charr, and Norn.

Must be one of the Wammos who can't kill a decent dervish, and chase an assassin around the map while he has Siphon Speed on him.

I hope they at least keep the core professions, or have professions at least similar. Though, it would be interesting to see what new professions they might come up with. Still... I'd be sad if I couldn't have a ranger, so I hope they bring some of the oldies back!

That's actually a great idea.

Races would be the new "Professions", and everything else would just be like setting up your attributes.

I believe I read somewhere (PCGamer?) that all armor will be available to every profession (with penalties on certain things); that would certainly fit in well with this idea.

I for the most hope that the Monk class wont be a requirement like it is now, but then again I wouldnt mind if it was.
